Community Standards

Care without coercion.

Shared prayer in Glean is intentionally small. These boundaries protect the one-to-one trust that remains.

Effective and last updated: July 28, 2026

Connection never creates an obligation.

A person may decline a request, silence notifications, disconnect, or block at any time. Nobody owes a response, an explanation, or proof that they prayed.

Pray With People, Not Over Them

Be honest, gentle, and specific about what is yours to say. Encouragement and Scripture are welcome. Control, shame, pressure, or claims that God requires another person to obey you, remain in contact, give money, disclose private information, or make a particular decision are not.

Protect The Person Behind The Prayer
  • No harassment, threats, stalking, hate, degrading language, sexual exploitation, or unwanted sexual content.
  • No impersonation, scams, spam, repeated invitations after someone disconnects, or disclosure of another person’s prayer, identity, location, health information, contact information, screenshots, or conversation without permission.
  • Do not encourage self-harm, violence, abuse, criminal activity, or withholding immediate human help from someone in danger.
  • Do not sell access to prayer, pressure donations, recruit through deception, or exploit vulnerability.
Privacy And Reporting

Shared timelines are end-to-end encrypted. Glean cannot ordinarily read them. A report shows the exact selected content before you deliberately disclose it to Glean for safety review. Do not add unrelated private material to a report.

Boundaries And Immediate Safety

Use the quietest boundary that keeps you safe: silence notifications, stop carrying a request, disconnect, or block. If someone faces immediate danger, contact local emergency services or a trusted person who can be physically present. Glean is not an emergency-response service.

Review And Enforcement

Glean may preserve disclosed reports and limited safety metadata. Depending on severity and history, Glean may warn, restrict community features, prevent contact, suspend an account, or remove an account. We may act immediately where safety requires it.

Questions And Appeals

If you believe a safety decision was mistaken, or cannot access in-app reporting, email support@thegleanpractice.com. Do not email passwords, one-time codes, recovery secrets, or unrelated prayer content.
